Glen Ronald is a Canadian artist whose art style falls between abstraction and realism. His paintings are called chaosmos, meaning in his works he creates a chaos and then he pulls the order (or the cosmos) our of the chaos. His work mostly focus on historical and public figures while also exploring nature through landscapes and portraits of wildlife. With black and white he is able to create strong pieces with a delicate process of layering colors and different strokes to create the bodies of work. I really enjoy the uniqueness of his art and the attention to detail, which lead me to follow him . His portraits and abstract art feature so many elements ranging from hyperrealism to complete abstraction as well as mixing in the appearance of splash painting. Through his artwork, a new and more modern interpretation of abstract realism has been developed, showing another step to merging these two art forms together.
