It is interesting to see how the exhibit that presented just facts that aren't totally on one side, is the one that isn't as well known, while outrageous acts get the most attention. Along with this the Guerrilla Girls had solid message, while with the other works the artist simply made statements or the main object of attention was used more for a weapon rather than as a work. In this case, the message seemed to be lost in the article, with no description as to why this object is so important and no way to draw this importance from the picture.
In a way protest art has to play off of media and attention to get its message across. If you have attention grabbing, outrageous, or disobedient actions in your artwork then it will obtain much more coverage. There is also the effective presentation of your artwork. Without enough work being put into the actual body of the protest, the main idea behind the movement will not be known.
